Lynda wants Elijah or me to ask Ray if we can take down the branches that are shading our yard from his hand shaped tree. These branches are ruining the hand shape. She would also like us to trim her tree. She believes that with a pole trimmer and a ladder this should be possible. I believe that the addition of a rope we could more gently lower the branches. They are kind of high.
This possibility led me to speculate that if we had enough plastic we could cover the yard and burn the wood in a stove. Failing the stove we could construct a makeshift covered stove from the bricks and stone in the yard. This could allow us to move our sproutlings outside and perhaps keep the pond from freezing, at least for a little while.
